1.3" LCD Display Shield

A 240x240 1.3" colour LCD display + ambient light sensor shield.

This shield has a gorgeous colour IPS LCD display, with a massive 240x240 pixels in a 1.3” form factor. It uses the ST7789 driver, so there is a lot of library support available for all of the embedded languages and platforms.

The shield also has an Ambient Light sensor onboard, that you can use to adjust the screen brightness for daytime and nighttime use.

Specifications

The screen is powered from the 3V3 pin on the headers, so you can use this shield in battery-powered projects, as well as those powered from a 5V source.

The Ambient Light Sensor is an ALS-PT19 that outputs an analog value you can connect to an ADC pin on your host board. The voltage range for the AMB pin is 0V to 3V3.

The LED backlight is controlled via PWM via the BLIGHT header pin shown in the pinout diagram above.

Each display comes with a set of 9 Pin 2.54mm straight headers and 9 Pin 2.54mm right-angled headers to allow you to choose how your wires will connect.

You will find an Arduino IDE example project for this shield to get you started.
